Amity Chamber invites the community to its inaugural regional fair
Hosted in Woodbridge, the free event will showcase the Chamber’s expanded regional focus, connecting residents with local businesses and organizations
The Amity Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents from across the Amity region and surrounding community to its inaugural Community Fair on Saturday, August 15, bringing together local businesses, community organizations and sponsors for a free public event in Woodbridge.
Hosted by Crest Lincoln of Woodbridge, 185 Amity Road, the fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public, rain or shine. The event is intended to offer residents an opportunity to discover local businesses and organizations, connect with neighbors and learn more about the Chamber’s expanding role in supporting economic development throughout the Amity region.
The event will also provide an opportunity to visit the Woodbridge business district, where the Town is pursuing long-term investments aimed at strengthening the commercial corridor (see related WTC article August 3, 2026).
Amity Chamber of Commerce
The Amity Chamber is led by Chief Executive Officer Barry Lee Cohen, who was appointed in 2024 to oversee the organization's day-to-day operations, including membership engagement, business advocacy, programs and strategic marketing initiatives. The Chamber maintains its headquarters at 605A Orange Center Road in Orange.
Incorporated in 1962 as the Orange Chamber of Commerce, the membership-based, nonprofit 501(c)(6) organization expanded to become the Amity Chamber of Commerce in March 2025. The change signaled further strengthening of the Chamber’s position as a leading voice for businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the Amity region and surrounding communities. According to Cohen, “The name is more than a rebranding but best reflects the regional synergies, strong bonds, and opportunities that continue to propel businesses throughout Orange, Woodbridge, Bethany, and the Boston Post Road corridor, which includes a significant number of members based in West Haven and Milford.”
According to the organization’s website, the Chamber offers networking opportunities, educational programs, advocacy, events and other resources designed to support local businesses and foster regional economic growth. It also works with government officials and other community partners on initiatives intended to strengthen the regional economy.
The Amity Chamber is governed by a regional Board of Directors that includes representatives from businesses and organizations throughout the tri-town area and neighboring communities. Among them is Scott Prud’homme, a business owner and member of the Woodbridge Board of Finance. The board membership also includes Kyle Wasilewski of the Bethany Economic Development Commission and Annemarie Sliby of the Orange Economic Development Corporation, reflecting the Chamber's regional mission.

According to the Chamber, Crest Lincoln plans to clear its parking lot of vehicles to create a walkable outdoor marketplace for the event. Activities are planned for all ages and according to the event announcement, “a day of innovation, freebies, food, live demonstrations, and fun” will be offered by the following Amity Chamber businesses and organizations:

At the event, visitors will also have an opportunity to explore the Energize CT Smart Energy Living Mobile Exhibit, featuring displays on energy-efficient and clean technologies, as well as the Xfinity Community Engagement Trailer, which will offer technology, community resources and interactive experiences.
“The Amity Chamber Community Fair is a vibrant showcase of what makes the Amity region unique,” Cohen said in announcing the event. “Attendees can expect a diverse marketplace featuring live demonstrations, giveaways and activities for the whole family.” Free parking will be available on site, making it easy for residents to stop by and explore the Chamber’s first regional community fair.
